The power window can't be operated from the passenger side but the two power lock buttons work. The window works fine from the driver side master switch. I have replaced the window switch on the passenger side thinking that was the cause of the problem but the new switch behaves the same way. The locks work but not the window.
Pull the door panel, check the switch connector for corroded contacts, and clean them. While you're at it, clean them all, including on the speakers. Water tends to get into the doors and cause this. If that doesn't solve it, next check the harness where it comes through the kick panel into the door.
Rt. front and rear power windows do not operate. 2. Rt. power mirror does not work. 3. Door locks (on my 1996 ZJ driver's still worked) do not work. 4. Keyless entry does not work. Then the problem is the passenger door module, which is contained in the power window / door lock switch assembly.
The other five switches related to the windows do not work or illuminate when the lights are on. The other two switch modules (lock / unlock) and the (side mirror controls) work as they should. Best way to determine if power and ground wires are intact is to check the LED's in the switches. If LED are on - power and ground wiring paths are good. The window switches mounted in rear doors are in parallel with the front switches. There's a Rear Window Lockout switch mounted on front shift bezel to inactivate switches mounted in rear.
